SEVEN is seeking an Engineering Project Manager. In sensitive this position, you will manage multiple simultaneous software projects. You will also interface with development managers and engineers, QA managers and engineers, product managers, internal and external customers, design, content and other departments. A broad background in software technologies and software development process is essential to this success in this position.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Work with multidisciplinary design and implementation teams consisting of Account Managers, Product Managers, Development Managers, Members of the Technical Staff.
* Produce detailed project plans and will be responsible for managing and resolving project dependencies; Make the plan happen; and Keep the plan up to date.
* Develop and facilitate processes to manage the end-to-end development effort, including planning, release management, defect prioritization, life cycle and other related processes.
* Communicate schedules and status at all levels of the organization.
* Identify deliverables and owners to drive issue resolution and track action items.
* Interact directly with internal customers and external customers as directed by account management teams.
* Address risks and conduct risks preventive action planning; and conduct problem solving actions too.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required qualifications:
* Minimum of 5 years in project management or program management.
* Detail-oriented individual with excellent time management and organizational skills.
* Strong technical background; familiar with wireless technologies and enterprise software is a plus.
* Outstanding analytical skills
* Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
* Ability to interact effectively with senior management, engineers, customers, marketing, sales, channels, partners, and vendors.
* Ability to manage communications at all levels and work with senior management.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines and think “outside the box” to achieve tight deadlines.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience required.
Desired Qualifications:
* Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through PMI.
* Experience setting up and managing communications among geographically distributed offices.
* Experience in agile development.
* Experience developing and implementing product strategy.
* Experience engaging customers and managing customer expectations, as well as a commitment to customer service and satisfaction.
* Experience using project management tools.
